Hill Walking & English Courses

Ireland offers stunning scenery and landscapes for hill walking holidays and at the Irish College of English, we offer a special English program for groups with our one week combined English and Hill walking activity programme. This offers a wonderful opportunity to combine an interest in walking with English language classes to rapidly improve your English and see the beautiful countryside of Ireland on foot. (For younger students and teenagers, we also offer great variety of sports and activities through English at our Junior English Summer Schools in the summer months).

The walking aspect of the programme enables nature lovers to experience what Dublin and Wicklow have to offer in terms of scenery and challenging walks. The English and Hill Walking activity programme offers a variety of walks, including cliff walks, hill walks and even walks around Dublin City Centre.

The cultural/social aspect of the programme, means that at the same time people can enjoy the experience of being in Ireland, living with an Irish family, and visiting places of Irish cultural/historical interest such as Trinity College and Guinness. The last evening of the walking holiday programme is spent enjoying some live Irish music in Howth.
