At the Irish College of English, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and respectful learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth. To uphold these values and ensure the well-being of our students and staff, we have established clear procedures for addressing unacceptable behaviour through our
Procedures
Attendance Warning System:
In cases of frequent or prolonged absenteeism or if a student’s attendance rate drops below 70%, the student will receive:
Expulsion Consequences:
The INIS (Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service) will be notified of the student’s expulsion from the ILEP programme, the student will not receive an end of course certificate and no refunds will be issued.
If a student is expelled from one of our summer camps, we will keep them under our care for 24 hours in order to allow parents to make the necessary flight arrangements for them to return home and we will also facilitate transfers etc. All costs should be borne by the parents or guardians. If a student is to return home, once a flight is arranged we will escort the student to the airport and see them through check-in and to visa control, having gained confirmation that the student will be met on arrival. Should a parent refuse to arrange to facilitate the student leaving the camp, the relevant embassy will be informed of the situation.
